Covering Up a Chaotic Inner Life
My first reliquary art box, “Covering Up a Chaotic Inner Life” grew from a not entirely tongue-in-cheek desire to reconcile my meditative practice (beading) with the distractions I felt all around me.
That single journal-like prompt took on a life and series of its own. Working within the limits of a simple 9" x 7" x 6" box, each new project is a self-contained little world of signs and remembrances—of a moment, a challenge, a friendship, a life…
I love to undertake box commissions for people or their pets. If you have some small (weird or priceless!) objects—such as photos, jewelry, souvenirs, amulets, etc.—together we can honor someone with a special gift. Perhaps that special someone is you!
