About the Artist / Contact
Jeanne Leffingwell trained at the University of Alaska Anchorage, The Aegean School of Fine Arts (now the Aegean Center for the Fine Arts) and received her BFA from the Minneapolis College of Art & Design. She has completed commissions for both public and private spaces and her work has been shown in museums and galleries from New York City to Fairbanks, Alaska. She has written articles about fiber and beadwork for publications such as Threads, Beadwork, and Bead & Button.
As an art educator, Jeanne has taught more than forty school residencies in Idaho, Washington, Oregon, Alaska, and Mexico, and has presented workshops for teachers through the Idaho Commission on the Arts and other agencies. Jeanne currently directs summer art camps at her studio in Moscow Idaho.
